Department of Health Science and Technology

Through interaction of engineering and medical disciplines the department develops:

basic engineering methods to understand and control biological systems (human or animal)

methods for patient specific information retrieval, transmission, interpretation and presentation for diagnosis and treatment

Clinical applications:
Neurorehabilitation, motor control, spasticity, pain, work-related neuromuscular impairments, diabetes, neurosurgery, stem cells, hospital information systems.

   

Laboratory for Stem Cell Research


Laboratory for Stem Cell Research has been under the wings of the department since 2002, but with facilities in Århus. Now the new building at Fredrik Bajers Vej 3B is ready, and the laboratory will be officially opened April 29, 2005.
