This is an excerpt from a Gorgoroth concert the 5th of may 2001 in John Dee, Oslo, Norway. We didn't take that many pictures, 'cause we were of course busy moshing away, but anyway managed to get a few for your viewing pleasure. Spot the famous this time was very successfull as we before the concert at Möller's Pub met the lead singer of Gorgoroth Gaahl, sorry we didn't get a pic of him, but further down he's in full corpsepaint at the concert. Hellhammer and Fenriz was also spotted. Fenriz was there with his girlfriend and in a cool cowboyjacket with some cool patches and markerdrawings on it.

Hail Fenriz! The black metal king!!!!

Ok, one thing that sucked, was that the wardrobemaster was ill that night, so there was no place to hang jackets and stuff, so at first we had to walk around and find places to hide our newly bought picture LPs and CDs. Luckily noone stole them :).

1349 went on. We heard people talking about the lead singer was a nazi, but anyway this was total fucking black metal. Unfortunately we'd forgotten our earplugs, which sucked, 'cause 1349 had some very loud explosions, atleast they were, when they went off right in your face standing in the front row. The explosions sat off some of the songs or the wild passages in the songs. A pretty nice thing we must say, something that tells the crowd that now is the time to really do some serious headbanging. Unfortunately our pictures with 1349 was too dark, so we have borrowed the next two from Necro from Holycaust Records. Thanks a lot for those. You must have a hell of a lot better camera than I.

1349: Someone on guitar and Frost on drums

We liked 1349. Very nice energy, and the fact that the godly presence of Frost was on drums made it sound very professional and tight. Too bad you couldn't see him, 'cause he was hidden so far back on stage that there was no light on him. 1349 has something going in the black metal scene that can't be ignored. When their debut CD comes out do not hesitate to go and get it.

1349 set off with an explosion

Later we have been able to recover one of our our own pictures of 1349, and here it is.

1349 banging away

Audiopain was not our cup of ale but anyway we know some like them and they have been going on for a long time, so respect and kick ass for you old industrialmetallers. Later. We didn't take any pictures of them, as we used the time to gather strength and beers before Gorgoroth went on.

Gorgoroth was totally excellent. What a killer moshpit. It's not everyday u get to smash your head with Fenriz and Frost and go completely insane with the gods of black metal. This should be experienced, it's a must for black metal maniacs.

Gorgoroth: Gaahl, King Ov Hell and Tormentor

Too bad there wasn't a lot more than 5 or 10 besides the Wrecking Crew that realized this. The crowd was somewhat tame, not to say tame as hell. Well anyways respect goes out to those few who moshed along with the Wrecking Crew. Gorgoroth played for what seemed like at most 45 minutes, but we guess it was probably more like 75 minutes. Time flies when you're drinking and moshing. The new drummer Kvitrafn replacing Sjt. Erichsen was kind of hard to see, 'cause he was also placed away from the lights like Frost, something that was pretty annoying. Suddenly they just stopped, went, and didn't bother to please us 5 guys who were screaming for more.

Guess they got a bit pissed at the crowd, which was understandable. The plugs were pulled and the curtains were drawn. It ruled the seemingly short time it lasted. Thank you and goodnight.
